The brief

A tile and ceramics retailer needed a browsable catalogue and a checkout that felt safe, without giving up the inventory and payment handling they already had working.

Decisions

Shopify keeps what it does well — inventory, payments, tax, fraud — and never touches the visual layer.

Next.js serves the catalogue, so product pages index and load fast instead of depending on a theme template.

Shadcn as the component base: accessible by default, with no opinion of its own to argue with the design.

Outcome

Catalogue, cart and checkout live in production, with product content managed from the Shopify admin the client already knew.
